In terms of design, the 2024 BYD Yuan UP EV SUV follows a trendy and youthful design direction, incorporating many personalized elements while maintaining the overall design style of the BYD Dynasty family. The front of the car features a sealed design, with the upper part connecting the two LED headlights with bright black trim panels, and the lower part featuring a lower grille with two chrome decorative strips in geometric shapes, along with edges resembling ventilation openings. The streamlined design of the LED headlights includes two L-shaped daytime running light modules, and below the headlights' lower edge are additional L-shaped daytime running light modules, giving the overall appearance a modern feel.

The dimensions of the 2024 BYD Yuan UP EV SUV are as follows: length 4310mm, width 1830mm, height 1675mm, and wheelbase 2620mm. It is positioned as an A0-class SUV, with a very sleek body waistline and a floating-style roof design. Black protective panels similar to the front bumper can be clearly seen at the sides, along with chrome decorative strips similar to the front lower grille. It is equipped with semi-hidden door handles, and the front and rear black wheel arches are accentuated with white paint. The car also features low-drag dual-color wheels, equipped with 215/60 R17 Chaoyang SU318 tires designed specifically for urban SUVs. The rear of the car has a large spoiler, equipped with full-LED taillights, and the internal cavities of the taillight units also feature a design similar to Chinese knots. The lower bumper is equipped with more pronounced black protective panels than the front, with metal chrome edges at the bottom.

In terms of appearance, the new car's overall design combines roundness and strength with a harmonious balance, maintaining the Dynasty's aesthetic design style while incorporating more fashionable and youthful elements.

The interior is equipped with exquisitely designed electronic gearshift buttons, surrounded by a limited number of physical buttons, including air conditioning controls for temperature and fan speed, blind-spot monitoring, automatic parking, energy recovery levels, and driving mode adjustments.

The interior follows a minimalist family design approach, with a visual distinction between dark and light colors. The flat-bottomed three-spoke multifunction steering wheel controls multimedia and driving assistance functions on either side, with the center marked with the BYD logo. The style of the full LCD instrument cluster is similar to other BYD models, displaying energy consumption, tire pressure, and competition modes in the center. Additionally, the actual vehicle model is equipped with a heads-up display (HUD) that can display not only speed but also driving assistance functions. The floating center screen supports a flip vertical screen mode and uses BYD's latest DiLink system, supporting online navigation, online music, Himalaya, Cloud Listen, etc. It also has a built-in BYD app market for future downloads and additions. Finally, the roof is equipped with a panoramic sunroof with a large sunroof area and electric sunshade.

The front seats feature integrated design with textured surfaces that enhance the overall look, and both front seats have electric adjustment functions. The rear seats continue the texture design of the front seats, with three independent headrests, a center armrest, and a flat floor design. Although there is no rear center air vent, there are two USB charging ports instead.

In terms of power, the 2024 BYD Yuan UP EV SUV is built on the e-platform 3.0 and is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous drive motor with the model number TZ200XSW. The maximum power is 70/130 kW, with peak torque of 180/290 N·m. The car is equipped with BYD's lithium iron phosphate battery, with capacities of 32 kWh and 45.12 kWh, providing pure electric ranges of 301 and 401 km according to CLTC standards.
