The Hyundai Motor Group has executed its largest overseas vehicle recall this year, encompassing 25 models and a total of 3,372,743 vehicles. The recall is due to potential issues with the electronic module that poses a fire risk. These fires could occur at any time, even if the vehicle is off and parked. It is thus recommended that owners park their cars outside until the issue is resolved. The specific models being recalled are as follows:

Reason for Recall:
Both Hyundai and Kia vehicles are being recalled for slightly different reasons. For Kia, the concern revolves around brake fluid leakage. The exact reason is still under investigation, but it might be related to the hydraulic electronic control unit. There have been 4 fire incidents and 6 overheating events (smoke, melting) for this brand. Hyundai's recall is also due to brake fluid leakage caused by the ABS anti-lock brake module, which resulted in leakage and short-circuiting. So far, 21 fires and 22 overheating incidents have been reported for this brand.
Recall Measures:
Owners are initially advised to park their vehicles outdoors until the issue is addressed. Hyundai/Kia will replace the ABS anti-lock brake/hydraulic electronic control unit's fuse for affected vehicles. The recall is expected to begin in November, with dealers providing the replacement free of charge for owners.
