Recently, it was announced that Alexander Pollich will officially assume the role of President and CEO of Porsche China on September 1, 2024. He will be fully responsible for the brand's business in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Reflecting on recent performance, Porsche's global sales in the first half of the year were 155,945 vehicles, compared to 167,354 vehicles in the same period in 2023, a decrease of 7%; sales in the Chinese market were 29,551 vehicles, down 33% from 43,832 vehicles in the same period last year.

Pollich has served the Porsche brand for 23 years, holding several key management positions within the group and is an international sales expert. Since July 2018, he has served as Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Deutschland GmbH and is now set to take charge of the critical Chinese market.
Pollich, 57, has also served as CEO of Porsche Canada and the UK, successfully expanding the brand's business in both regions. With a background in business administration and economics, Pollich has worked in Porsche's strategic department, developing the global sales network. "We are delighted to have Mr. Pollich take on the highly challenging Chinese market. He is an experienced sales expert who will further enhance the Porsche brand's influence in China," said Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing at Porsche. "At the same time, we are very grateful to Mr. Michael Kirsch for his contributions to Porsche China over the past two years."
Additionally, current Porsche China President and CEO Michael Kirsch will be transferred to another important position within the group.
