The 2024 DongFeng Forthing XingHai S7 EV sedan features a very avant-garde design, emphasizing a stylish, youthful, and sporty aesthetic. As a fully electric vehicle, it adopts a closed front with family-style headlight units on either side. The car is equipped with four cameras and eight ultrasonic radars, providing L2-level driving assistance features.

On the side, the coupe-style design of the DongFeng Forthing XingHai S7 results in very smooth roofline contours, achieving a drag coefficient of just 0.191. The new model's dimensions are 4935 mm in length, 1915 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2915 mm. Additionally, it comes standard with 19-inch semi-closed low-drag wheels that complement its wide body. A practical feature is the hatchback-style tailgate with an electric opening mechanism, offering a larger opening for easier access to items, with a cargo capacity of 541-1303 liters.

The vehicle adopts a fluid aesthetic known as "Water Drawing Thousand Rivers," showcasing a droplet shape. This design has earned the car three prestigious international awards: the Good Design Award, the Asia Design Award, and the Asia-Pacific IAI Award, proving that its attractiveness is recognized within the industry.

In terms of interior design, the DongFeng Forthing XingHai S7 embraces a minimalist and elegant design language termed "Cloud Touring the World." The instrument panel and central display feature a large floating screen design, while the steering wheel incorporates a newly designed dual-spoke multifunction layout, and the gear shift structure is designed as a floating lever.

Inside, the DongFeng Forthing XingHai S7's interior design aligns with current trends in its class, showcasing a minimalist tech style. Aside from the steering wheel, physical buttons are scarce, as most functions are centralized on a large screen. The new model features an 8.8 + 15.6-inch dual-screen setup, with the central display integrated with the XingHai OS series, supporting smartphone connectivity, voice commands, and remote control via mobile devices.

For seating, all models are equipped with synthetic leather seats, offering features such as electric adjustment and heating for the front seats, with the driver's seat also providing ventilation and memory settings. However, the rear seats fold as a single unit, lacking the more versatile split-folding option that might be more convenient for daily use.

In terms of power, the DongFeng Forthing XingHai S7 is equipped with a rear-mounted single motor, delivering a maximum power of 160 kW and peak torque of 310 Nm. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 6.67 seconds. The battery capacity is 56.8 kWh, providing a CLTC range of 555 km. It can be charged quickly from 30% to 80% in 0.43 hours and supports mainstream 3.3 kW external discharge functionality.
