2024 Lotus Emeya R+ EV

The 2024 Lotus Emeya continues the latest family style in its exterior design, featuring a sharp and sporty overall design reminiscent of the fuel era. The front of the new car adopts a supercar-style contour, with a shark-nose front that streamlines airflow and reduces aerodynamic resistance. The double-layer L-shaped daytime running lights are arranged above the front, seamlessly integrating with the true headlight assembly and black decorative panel. The front grille is a variable hexagonal active grille, similar to the ELETRE, which, when open, allows air to cool the transmission system and battery, and when closed, guides airflow to the sides of the vehicle. Additionally, the front bumper incorporates an active air dam that can reduce the space between the chassis and the road. When the speed exceeds 110 km/h, the air dam automatically opens, creating a 90-degree angle with the ground, generating a maximum downforce of 76 kg to enhance vehicle stability. When the speed is below 70 km/h, the air dam automatically retracts.

Moving to the side, the 2024 Lotus Emeya has a substantial volume, yet with sharp lines, it retains a strong sense of athleticism. The dimensions of the car are 5139/2005/1464mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3069mm. The side features concealed door handles, electronic side mirrors, and low aerodynamic wheels to reduce air resistance. The car will be equipped with Pirelli P Zero R tires. At the rear, there is a large-size spoiler, with a width of 296mm, capable of providing a maximum downforce of 215 kg when raised. The car also incorporates extensive use of carbon fiber materials, covering a total of 12 components with an area of 6.1 square meters, including front/rear bumpers, roof, engine compartment lid, rear wing, and side skirts. The taillights utilize RGB color-changing technology and gradient halos. When the brake lights illuminate, the halo gradually transitions from left to right, displaying battery level, charging status, and featuring a welcome function.

As a sports coupe, the 2024 Lotus Emeya adopts a streamlined design that seamlessly integrates aerodynamics and artistic aesthetics. Its distinctive LED lighting system and sharp lines make it eye-catching both during the day and at night.

In terms of the interior, the 2024 Lotus Emeya successfully combines a sense of technology with sporty attributes. It features a 15.1-inch OLED central touchscreen and a 12.6-inch narrow screen for both the driver and passenger. The in-car display, rendered based on the Unreal Engine, delivers a clear, realistic, and natural visual experience.

In terms of the interior, the 2024 Lotus Emeya balances technology and sportiness. The 15.1-inch OLED central screen is rendered using the Unreal Engine, while the 55-inch AR HUD displays road information, navigation details, and driving assistance information. The streaming rearview mirror has a resolution of 1280*720 and supports electric folding. Additionally, there is a hidden 12.6-inch narrow screen for both the driver and passenger. The interior materials reflect a sporty style, incorporating new recycled fiber wiring. Furthermore, the interior features PVD coatings, Alcantara, Nappa leather, and Ultrafabrics, presenting a strong tactile feel. The seats, both front and rear, are sports independent seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The car is equipped with a sound system developed by the British audio brand KEF, incorporating Uni-Q and Uni-Core technologies, supporting Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound.

In terms of hardware, the 2024 Lotus Emeya is equipped with four laser radars and 34 intelligent driving sensors, including two 4D millimeter-wave radars. The standard intelligent driving features include high-speed road assistance and all-scenario parking assistance. The high-speed road assistance supports ACC adaptive cruise control, lane centering, and lever lane change functions, while the all-scenario parking includes automatic parking and remote parking. The car can be equipped with advanced intelligent driving assistance, allowing automatic overtaking and lane changes on highways after setting the navigation. Future updates will include city road navigation and parking lot navigation.

In terms of power, the 2024 Lotus Emeya will be equipped with dual motors, with the front motor having a maximum power of 225 kW and the rear motor having a maximum power of 225/450 kW. The acceleration time from 0 to 100 km/h for the high-end model is only 2.78 seconds, with a top speed of 256 km/h. The battery capacity of the car is 102 kWh, combined with a two-speed gearbox (R+ exclusive), providing a CLTC range of up to 600 km. Regarding recharging, it supports 800V fast charging, and a 5-minute charge using 350 kW fast charging can increase the range by 180 km (CLTC conditions), while 15 minutes can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% capacity.

The chassis is a strength of Lotus, referred to as the "6D Intelligent Chassis," equipped with dual-chamber air suspension, Lotus intelligent anti-roll system, rear-wheel steering, and high-performance braking. The dual-chamber air suspension supports soft and hard adjustments within 10ms, achieving a height adjustment of plus or minus 25mm; with rear-wheel steering, the car has a minimum turning radius of 5.6 meters; the anti-roll system can adjust the stiffness of the stabilizer for increased comfort under certain driving conditions, while providing better stability and handling under intense driving conditions; the braking system features front 6-piston lightweight fixed aluminum calipers and rear floating calipers, with an optional 10-piston carbon-ceramic composite brake system made from carbon fiber and silicon carbide.
