As the first model equipped with the off-road super hybrid architecture Hi4-T, the GWM TANK 500 Hi4-T will cover a diverse range of usage scenarios, including urban commuting, suburban travel, long-distance journeys, cross-country camping, and towing trailers.
The front grille of the GWM TANK 500 Hi4-T features an exaggerated and rugged design, with a large area of chrome decorations. The central bold brand logo, combined with multiple horizontal bars on the grille, creates a visually impactful look. The front headlights have a square and tough shape and incorporate LED daytime running lights and LED turn signals. The front bumper also features LED fog lights on both sides.
From the side, the new vehicle has a muscular and robust overall design. The tall body height, coupled with large-sized multi-spoke wheels, exudes a strong sense of power. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5078×1934×1905mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2850mm.

The vehicle features a four-screen linkage system consisting of a 12.3-inch full-color digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch floating center display, a 7-inch rear armrest screen, and a HUD (head-up display), all supporting voice interaction. Remote control functionality includes features such as starting, turning off, unlocking, locking, and locating the vehicle, as well as pre-opening the air conditioning or preheating the vehicle.
In terms of seating, the new vehicle adopts a 2+3 layout for a 5-seat configuration. The front seats are wide and comfortable, upholstered in Nappa leather, and equipped with ventilation, heating, and 9-way adjustment. Features like the ultra-quiet electric suction tailgate and convenient electric side steps enhance the convenience of the vehicle.
The GWM TANK 500 Hi4-T is equipped with the Hi4-T off-road super hybrid architecture developed by Great Wall Motors for off-road new energy vehicles, based on the tank platform. It adopts a high-end longitudinal and parallel hybrid architecture used in premium models. The powertrain consists of a 2.0T engine, a 9HAT transmission, and a P2 electric motor, delivering a maximum combined power of 300 kW and a maximum torque of 750 N·m. The highest transmission efficiency can reach 97%, and the 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 6.9 seconds. The GWM TANK 500 Hi4-T features an intelligent electric control strategy for the hybrid system, offering three driving modes: pure electric, hybrid, and intelligent. It supports energy regeneration and intelligent power preservation. The official figures indicate a comprehensive fuel consumption as low as 2.2 L/100 km, a gasoline consumption of 9.55 L/100 km, a WLTC pure electric range of 110 km, and a comprehensive range of up to 790 kilometers.
The GWM TANK 500 Hi4-T is equipped with a professional non-load-bearing chassis, featuring front double wishbone suspension and rear multi-link non-independent suspension, suitable for all terrains. The battery pack is securely mounted on the inside of the vehicle's main beams and the upper part of the vehicle floor, providing safety protection against impacts, collisions, fires, and water immersion. In terms of off-road capability, the new vehicle is equipped with an all-terrain system that offers 11 driving modes. The intelligent four-wheel drive system comes standard with the Mlock central locking function and rear axle differential lock, providing advanced off-road features such as tank turn and crawl mode. The vehicle supports external discharge of up to 3.3 kW, providing power supply for appliances such as electric ovens and coffee makers, unlocking more outdoor lifestyle possibilities.
