On August 10th, ZEEKR officially released the official images of the ZEEKR 001 FR and debunked online rumors suggesting a facelift for the ZEEKR 001.
According to official sources, the ZEEKR 001 FR will be priced over a million, aiming to break the traditional performance monopoly of ultra-luxury supercars priced over ten million. The new car will be officially unveiled at ZEEKR's technology launch event.
Along with this announcement, ZEEKR also revealed some design features of the ZEEKR 001 FR. To achieve extreme weight reduction and surpass speed and performance boundaries, the car uses a full carbon fiber aerodynamic kit for the front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, spoiler, and roof. It also adopts lightweight high-performance forged wheels and top-tier carbon-ceramic brake discs.
As Geely's high-end, smart, pure electric brand, ZEEKR has launched three models since its establishment in 2021: ZEEKR 001, 009, and ZEEKR X. The ZEEKR X started deliveries just this June and reportedly surpassed the BMW X1 in the first full month of deliveries, ranking in the top three of the luxury compact market priced over 200,000 and being the only Chinese brand in the top ten.
Including the ZEEKR 001 and 009, ZEEKR delivered a total of 12,039 new cars in the past July, a year-on-year increase of 139.7% and a month-on-month increase of 13.4%, setting a new monthly record. To date, ZEEKR has delivered a total of 54,672 vehicles in the first seven months of this year, with a cumulative total of 132,600 since its inception.
According to previous statements by ZEEKR CEO An Conghui, this year, ZEEKR 001, 009, and ZEEKR X are expected to deliver 70,000, 30,000, and over 40,000 units, respectively, ensuring an annual delivery target of 140,000. This means that in the next five months, ZEEKR has a tough battle ahead.
