Recently, the official Tesla China website updated its owner's manual with content related to FSD Beta, indicating that Full Self-Driving is soon to be available in China. For the new Tesla Model 3, opting for FSD costs 64,000 yuan, and with this feature, the car can recognize traffic lights and parking signs, react accordingly, and provide automatic assisted driving on city streets.
It is reported that Tesla has undertaken extensive preparations for the implementation of FSD in China. In 2021, a data center was established in Shanghai. All data generated from Tesla's operations in China, including production, sales, service, and charging data, is stored entirely within Chinese borders to comply with regulatory requirements. Additionally, Tesla has formed an FSD operational team and a data labeling team in Shanghai, and engineers from the headquarters have been sent for training purposes.
