Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, announced on February 28th that the company's all-new Roadster electric sports car is expected to be delivered next year.
"Tonight, we fundamentally raised the design goals for the all-new Tesla Roadster." Musk posted on the social media platform X, saying: "The production design of the Roadster will be completed and announced by the end of this year, and the new car is expected to be delivered next year."

Musk also revealed that this car was developed jointly by Tesla and its space exploration technology company SpaceX. Regarding the new Roadster, Musk spared no praise, saying it "is expected to be the most exciting product ever" and "there will never be another car like the new Roadster; you will love this new sports car more than your house."

Furthermore, Musk revealed in response to inquiries from other X users that the zero-to-sixty acceleration time of the new Roadster will be less than 1 second, "and that's not even the most interesting part of this car," instantly raising consumers' expectations for this car.
In fact, Tesla's first-generation Roadster has been out of production for over a decade and has become very rare. At that time, Tesla only produced over 2,000 units, many of which were destroyed due to accidents and an unfortunate fire at a garage in Arizona. At the end of last year, Tesla announced that it would "completely" open source all design and engineering files for the original Roadster.

Regarding the new Roadster, Tesla previously revealed that it will feature all-wheel drive, with torque up to 10,000N·m per wheel, a top speed of over 400 km/h, and a range of 1000 km.
The next-generation Roadster is also equipped with SpaceX's "cold-gas thrusters," dubbed the "king of supercars," which can easily surpass the acceleration performance of gasoline cars, making it the fastest accelerating production car in history.
