Japanese automaker Suzuki announced on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with SkyDrive to jointly manufacture "flying cars." In a statement, Suzuki stated that the two companies aim to start production around spring 2024, with manufacturing taking place at Suzuki Group's existing facilities in Shizuoka Prefecture.

According to reports, the automaker stated that SkyDrive will establish a wholly-owned subsidiary to manufacture the aircraft, and Suzuki will assist in the preparations, including ensuring the availability of talent.
Furthermore, SkyDrive, headquartered in Toyota City in central Japan, has major shareholders such as trading firm Itochu Corporation, technology company NEC Corporation, and a subsidiary of energy company Eneos Holdings Inc.
It is worth noting that Suzuki and SkyDrive previously entered into an agreement in March to collaborate on research, development, and marketing of electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL).
