Based on the previously released information, the new car retains many elements of Volvo's design language. The closed grille, along with the Thor's Hammer headlights, is reminiscent of the Volvo EX90. The car does not feature hidden door handles and maintains a traditional design. The rear of the vehicle is equipped with full-width taillights, enhancing the visual width of the entire car.

The interior of the new car also adopts Volvo's latest design philosophy. The vertically-oriented central touchscreen employs a floating design. With a center armrest that incorporates storage space, the car offers ample storage options. Regarding the seat materials, the car does not use traditional leather but instead opts for a fabric-like, skin-friendly material.

In terms of powertrain, the new car is expected to be based on the SPA platform and offer options for single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive models. The estimated WLTP range is around 440 kilometers.

Editor's opinion: It is undeniable that Volvo has significantly accelerated its pace in the electrification transition. Volvo plans to launch four pure electric vehicles in 2023, including a small electric SUV, which is highly likely to be the EX30. With the introduction of this new model, Volvo's lineup of electrified vehicles will become even more diverse and abundant.
