Recall Batches:
Effective immediately, a total of 2 imported Model X electric vehicles produced between July 7, 2023, and August 1, 2023, are being recalled.
Reason for Recall:
Vehicles within this recall range underwent steering wheel type modifications at Tesla service centers. The modified steering wheel still installed the original type of steering wheel's airbag, causing a mismatch with the new steering wheel. In the event of a collision, the protective performance of this airbag may be compromised, increasing the risk of injury to the driver in an accident and posing a safety hazard.
Recall Measures:
Tesla Motors (Beijing) Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the recall scope. If a mismatch is found between the airbag type and the steering wheel type, the company will replace it with the correct type of airbag free of charge, eliminating the safety risks.
