On January 1st, Leapmotor Car released its latest delivery data.
The data reveals that in December 2023, Leapmotor Car's delivery volume reached 18,618 units, setting a new historical high and achieving a remarkable year-on-year growth of over 119%. By the end of 2023, the total annual delivery volume reached 144,155 units, marking nearly a 30% year-on-year increase. Since its establishment, Leapmotor has cumulatively delivered over 300,000 units.
Since March 2023, with the introduction of the C11, C01, and T03 models, all part of a three-model lineup, Leapmotor has adopted a dual-power layout featuring pure electric and extended range capabilities for its main C-series models. This strategy has contributed to the stable growth of Leapmotor's market performance. Starting from May, Leapmotor's monthly sales consistently surpassed ten thousand units, continuously setting new delivery records, and maintaining a top-three or even top-two position in the new energy vehicle sales rankings for several months. Within the year, Leapmotor achieved dual breakthroughs by delivering over 200,000 and 300,000 units, respectively.
Beyond the Chinese market, Leapmotor entered a new phase of global development starting from the 2023 Munich Motor Show. Leveraging the technological and product competitiveness derived from its in-house research and development, Leapmotor entered into an investment cooperation with the Stellantis Group, becoming the first domestic new energy vehicle company to collaborate with an international giant. This collaboration has pioneered a new model of global development through light asset export.
Co-President of Leapmotor Car, Wu Qiang, stated that Leapmotor plans to start its international expansion from the European market and initiate deliveries in the third quarter of 2024. At that time, Leapmotor's cars will be sold overseas through exports. With the growth in sales, the shift in the main selling models from T03 to the higher-priced C11 and C01, as well as continuous cost reduction and efficiency improvement efforts, Leapmotor achieved the goal of positive gross profit ahead of schedule in the third quarter of 2023.
During the Guangzhou Auto Show in November, Leapmotor's first global model, the C10, made its domestic debut. This model is the first global model under the LEAP3.0 technology architecture and represents the culmination of Leapmotor's eight years of in-house research and development, featuring intelligent, comfortable, and safe characteristics.
Entering 2024, Leapmotor Car will host the "2024 Global In-House R&D Open Day" event on January 10th, officially unveiling the latest achievements of the LEAP3.0 technology's six major modules. Simultaneously, the new model C10 will commence pre-sales, further propelling Leapmotor to achieve higher sales performance in 2024.
