In recent years, recreational motorcycles have gained popularity in China, with annual sales of large and medium displacement motorcycles exceeding 800,000 units in 2022, making China the world's second-largest market for recreational motorcycles. In addition, the motorcycle market in China, traditionally centered around small displacement models, is gradually transitioning to electrification, and it is expected that the electrification of recreational models will also accelerate in the future.
The sales of large displacement motorcycles are currently operated by a department within Honda R&D (China) Investment Co., Ltd., and it will be independently operated by Honda Motorcycle Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in the future. This move aims to enhance decision-making efficiency in business and product strategies, swiftly providing products that meet customer demands in the rapidly changing Chinese market.
