Hesai Technology has officially announced a strategic partnership with Leapmotor in their front-installed project. Leapmotor's new mass-produced passenger car models will be equipped with Hesai's ultra-high-definition long-range laser radar, the AT128. Hesai's AT128, as an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) long-range main laser radar designed for mass production, has achieved monthly deliveries of over 20,000 units since its production began last year, with a cumulative total of over 130,000 units.
Hesai is a global company specializing in laser radar research and manufacturing. According to Yole Intelligence's "2023 Global Automotive LiDAR Market and Technology Report," Hesai Technology has received several global accolades in the automotive LiDAR sector, solidifying its leading position among numerous competitors. This collaboration with Leapmotor demonstrates Leapmotor's recognition of Hesai's product strength and mass production capabilities.
Previously, Leapmotor announced that Stellantis Group would invest 1.5 billion euros to become a strategic shareholder, expanding Leapmotor's global electric vehicle business. This partnership allows Stellantis Group to manufacture and sell Leapmotor vehicles abroad while gaining access to Leapmotor's components and certain technologies. This includes Leapmotor's integrated central electronic and electrical architecture, known as LEAP3.0 Cloverleaf Architecture.
