On January 26th, we learned from official sources at GAC that the LEVC L380 prototype has completed production. Positioned as a pure electric MPV, built on the SOA architecture, the name "L380" is inspired by the Airbus A380, the world's largest wide-body airliner, suggesting that this vehicle will boast a very spacious interior. The car is expected to offer a seating layout ranging from a minimum of three to a maximum of eight seats.

In terms of exterior design, the front of the vehicle is notably broad, featuring a contemporary enclosed front fascia and segmented headlight assembly. Above is a three-section LED light strip, and below are the high and low beam headlight units, contributing to an overall futuristic style. The design of the air diversion groove below the headlights and the silver decorative strip beneath the front bumper effectively enhances the front's sense of layering.

Looking at the side profile, the vehicle's body length and wheelbase are substantial, indicating promising interior space performance. The car adopts an all-black roof and ABC pillars, balancing the visual proportions of the vehicle's side profile, making the large body appear less cumbersome. Additionally, the car is equipped with large multi-spoke wheels, and the door handles feature a concealed design. In terms of the rear, the vehicle adopts a through-type tail light design, with thick outer sections and a slim central portion, creating a cool visual effect when illuminated at night.

In May 2023, LEVC, supported by GAC's global system, collaborated with research and development teams from China and the UK to launch the world's first spatially oriented technology architecture called SOA. The SOA architecture provides extensive bandwidth support for L2~L4 level intelligent driving, an upgrade to 1000+ Tops computing power, and 5G gigabit transmission. It also adheres to vehicle certification regulations in China, Europe, and the UK. The SOA architecture features an innovative flat-floor design, a 1.9-meter integrated infinite slider, and a groundbreaking rear-sinking design based on a pure electric framework.

LEVC, short for London Electric Vehicle Company, is a mobility brand acquired by Geely and operates alongside parallel brands such as Lynk & Co and Volvo within the Geely Group. LEVC shares Geely's global supply system and, as a global high-end new energy brand, is likely to position its new MPV model alongside other premium models such as the Lynk & Co 09 and the Volvo EMP90.
