Dongfeng Nissan has officially announced its new model, the X-Trail Super Hybrid Electric Vehicle (SHEV). The new vehicle is available in two variants: the Super Hybrid Dual-Motor 4WD Ultimate Edition and the Super Hybrid Dual-Motor 4WD Luxury Edition.

In terms of exterior design, the X-Trail SHEV draws inspiration from the Nissan Xmotion concept car, featuring a stylish and imposing appearance. It adopts a large inverted trapezoidal grille, which has been redesigned with a smoked finish compared to the current models, and an array of linear elements that enhance the front face's sophistication. The central logo on the grille has also been upgraded to the latest style. The sides of the grille feature the popular split-type headlights, with the upper section housing the turn signals and daytime running lights, while the lower section contains the high and low beams.

The e-POWER emblem on the side of the vehicle is one of the distinctive design elements that differentiate the X-Trail SHEV from the current X-Trail model. In terms of dimensions, the X-Trail SHEV measures 4681mm in length, 1840mm in width, and 1730mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2706mm, which is essentially the same as the current model. The X-Trail SHEV is available in seven body colors, with Pearl White being the new flagship color. Additionally, three of the seven body colors are dual-tone combinations.

At the rear, the X-Trail SHEV maintains a similar design to the current model, with the e-POWER emblem also serving as the exclusive identifier for the SHEV variant. Sharp lines below the taillights and above the bumper give the rear end a well-defined appearance, while the large silver skid plate adds a touch of ruggedness, as all X-Trail SHEV models feature a four-wheel-drive layout.

Inside the cabin, the X-Trail SHEV features a layout similar to the current X-Trail model, but with several details that represent the e-POWER attributes. Firstly, the exclusive interior color for the X-Trail SHEV is Cloud Blue, and the ambient lighting also adopts the e-POWER's signature blue color, highlighting its distinction from the current X-Trail model. The shift mechanism has been upgraded to a more technologically advanced mouse-like style. Additionally, two buttons, "EV" and "e-Pedal," have been added to cater to the X-Trail SHEV's special electric drive properties.

In terms of powertrain, the X-Trail SHEV is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, combined with the second-generation e-POWER system, enabling four-wheel drive with the assistance of dual motors. The 1.5T engine delivers a maximum power of 106kW and a peak torque of 250Nm, while the front motor provides a maximum power of 150kW and a peak torque of 330Nm, and the rear motor generates a maximum power of 100kW and a peak torque of 195Nm. According to the official data, with the support of the dual-motor system, the X-Trail SHEV achieves a minimum WLTC fuel consumption of 6.36L/100km.
