On May 25th, BYD officially announced the official guidance price of the Song Pro DM-i Champion Edition. The new car has four models, and the Champion Edition mainly upgrades the front face, making it more youthful than the current model. At the same time, the pure electric endurance of the entry-level model has been increased to 71km.
In terms of appearance, the new car's front face adopts a brand-new styling design, with a large-sized grille decorated with chrome dots. The chrome-plated strip above the grille further enhances the recognition of the front face.
The two side air intakes of the new car have also been upgraded, and a layered air diffusion design has been added to the edge of the lower grille to increase its sportiness. The side profile of the car remains largely unchanged, while the tail has been fitted with a brand-new through-type taillight with adjusted dimensions. The original chrome-plated bar that crossed the left and right sides has also been removed.
The dimensions of the new car's body are 4738mm in length, 1860mm in width, and 1710mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2712mm, which is an increase of 88mm in length and 10mm in height compared to the current model.
The new car adopts a classic family-style design in terms of interior, with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a large rotatable central control screen, and rounded rectangular air conditioning vents, giving the car a youthful and technological appearance. Meanwhile, the interior uses a brand new clean lunar white interior color scheme, further enhancing the visual experience.
The new car has added Apple device NFC car key, instrument panel navigation, intelligent power on and off, and 3D panoramic imaging functions. The Song ProDM-i Champion Edition is still equipped with the DM-i hybrid system in the power system, including a 1.5L four-cylinder engine with a maximum horsepower of 81 kW and a driving motor with a maximum power of 145 kW. In addition, the entry-level model of the Song ProDM-i Champion Edition is a 71km version, and all models come standard with DC fast charging.
