On June 14th, according to a post on Dongfeng Motors' official blog, on June 10th, Dongfeng Motors held a ceremony in Wuhan for the delivery of 200 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles produced in collaboration with Guoqiang Hydrogen Technology and the signing of a new order.
The 200 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles delivered this time were jointly produced by Dongfeng Motors Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., and Guoqiang Hydrogen Technology. During the event, Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle also signed a new order for 200 heavy-duty truck hydrogen fuel cell systems with Wuhan Greendrive Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd.
In recent years, Dongfeng Motors has been actively involved in the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle sector.
In April of this year, Dongfeng Motors unveiled the Dongfeng Hydrogen Ship at its spring launch event. At that time, Shi Jianpeng, Deputy Director of the Technical Center of Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd., stated that hydrogen energy is an important part of Dongfeng's new energy transition. In the second stage, they made breakthroughs in key vehicle and system technologies and answered the question of what a full-power fuel cell vehicle is. In the third stage, they focused on promoting application and technological iteration. It is reported that the Dongfeng Hydrogen Ship includes two sub-brands: an independent brand and the Dongfeng Hydrogen Core fuel cell system.
Subsequently, on June 12th, it was reported that Dongfeng Motors' Chery hydrogen fuel cell passenger car engineering prototype recently made its debut, and it is planned to deliver 10 vehicles for demonstration operation by the end of 2023.
