2023 Chengdu Auto Show Spotlight: Chery ICAR 03

At the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, Chery unveiled the iCAR 03, positioning it as a rugged, pure electric SUV. Production of this model was completed in June.

In terms of design, the Chery iCAR 03 has a rather squared and boxy overall appearance. The front fascia is very simplistic, and when the headlights on both sides are illuminated, they present an "i" shape.

Regarding the body dimensions, the Chery iCAR 03 measures 4406mm in length, 1910mm in width, and 1715mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2715mm. Customers will have the option to choose between 18-inch and 19-inch wheels. The tail adopts a side-opening door design and is equipped with an external "small backpack". The tail light design mirrors the design of the front headlights.

As for the interior, the overall design of the Chery iCAR 03 is consistent with its exterior, both adopting a more rugged, squared design language. The cabin layout is symmetrical, with a floating central control screen and a through design below, expanding the internal storage space and spatial freedom. The iCAR 03 features a three-spoke steering wheel, simplifying button design and incorporating a scroll wheel for functionality.

In terms of power, the Chery iCAR 03 will be equipped with a single electric motor, with a maximum power output of 135kW (184 horsepower). Additionally, various versions with different ranges are expected to be released, and the vehicle will be equipped with L2+ level assisted driving features."
