BMW Ix3

The BMW ix3 largely continues the styling of the gasoline model, with minor adjustments in details to indicate its electric identity. For example, the double-kidney grille is closed off, and there's an 'i' emblem on one side of the grille. Moreover, the all-black design theme gives it a slight 'Dark Knight' appearance.

In terms of size, the dimensions are 4746mm in length, 1891mm in width, and 1683mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2864mm. While these measurements may not be the most competitive in its class among the BBA (Benz, BMW, Audi) cohort, the standard wheelbase positioning ensures the BMW ix3 has exceptional handling. Coupled with the multi-contour design and 20-inch black-coated sporty wheels, it certainly fits BMW's traditional style while also appealing to younger aesthetics.

The front face of the BMW ix3, influenced by the M sport package, still features a closed-off "double-kidney" grille and a multi-section air intake with a "fang-like" structure in the front bumper, giving it a sharp and sporty appearance.

The BMW ix3 comes standard with features such as a full LCD instrument panel, floating central control screen, M sport multifunction leather steering wheel, tri-zone automatic air conditioning, 12.3-inch floating central control screen, 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel, 19-inch rims, and Sensatec synthetic leather-covered seats.

The rear of the BMW ix3 still resembles the familiar BMW X3. Its broad, substantial profile aligns with the luxury midsize SUV category. The 3D floating-style tinted taillights also stand out, exuding sportiness.

For the interior, the BMW ix3 doesn't adopt BMW's latest dual-screen design language, making its novelty somewhat ordinary. However, the predominant use of soft-touch materials and a 12.3-inch floating central display screen ensure the ix3 retains its luxury feel and class. Unlike the gasoline version, the BMW ix3 has ditched the traditional BMW gear stick, replacing it with a compact electronic gear selector.

In terms of features, the BMW ix3 comes with automatic parking, panoramic imaging, heads-up display, sensor-controlled tailgate, keyless entry for the entire vehicle, and heated front seats. The addition of an electric car sound simulation also makes driving the BMW ix3 more enjoyable.

Power-wise, the BMW ix3 sports a rear-mounted single electric motor, delivering a maximum power of 210kW and a peak torque of 400N·m. The 0-100km/h acceleration is clocked at 6.8 seconds. While this acceleration might not be particularly eye-catching, it's on par with vehicles equipped with mainstream 2.0T high-power engines, making it suitable for both urban commuting and highway driving. Regarding range, with the support of an 80kWh ternary lithium battery pack, the BMW ix3 offers a pure electric range of 535km.
