In terms of exterior design, the 2025 FAW HongQi TianGong08 EV SUV continues the family design style of the HongQi new energy lineup, embodying the traditional Chinese aesthetic of "harmony of roundness and square." The front features a conventional closed grille with HongQi's iconic red flag emblem in the center. The uniquely shaped "L"-shaped headlights on both sides enhance the vehicle's distinctiveness and high recognizability.
The side profile adopts a crossover style with a coupe-like sloping roofline, making it less boxy and bulky than traditional SUVs. It also features short front and rear overhangs, resulting in a high wheelbase-to-length ratio that significantly improves interior space utilization. At the rear, the TianGong08 features HongQi's signature through-type taillight design, with "L"-shaped taillight clusters that echo the design of the front lights. The car measures 4925mm in length, 1950mm in width, and 1680mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm and a five-seat configuration.
HongQi New Energy's design philosophy emphasizes the "fusion beauty" of Chinese aesthetics, combining roundness and squareness, rigidity and softness. The TianGong08 adopts this design language, featuring "7"-shaped headlight clusters, a two-tone body design, and similarly "7"-shaped taillights connected by a through-type light strip at the rear.
The interior also reflects the fusion beauty concept, offering a layered design and supporting CarPlay. The cabin includes 256-color ambient lighting, while the front seats provide heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The vehicle also features an integrated cockpit screen setup, comprising a 6-inch driver display and a 15.5-inch central control screen.
The interior follows the latest family-style design language, combining simplicity with luxury. It is equipped with a dual-screen setup comprising a 15.5-inch central control screen and a 6-inch digital instrument cluster, paired with a two-spoke steering wheel for a dynamic and personalized look. The dual-motor AWD version adds a 202 kW front motor, with a combined system output of 455 kW and 756 Nm of torque, enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.9 seconds. Both versions have a top speed of 200 km/h.
The vehicle offers two battery options: an 85 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack and a 111 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. The CLTC electric range is 605 km and 565 km for the 85 kWh battery and 730 km and 680 km for the 111 kWh battery, respectively. The car supports a maximum charging power of 189 kW, allowing a 10%-80% charge in just 20 minutes, as well as a maximum 3.3 kW external discharge power.
