The 2024 SAIC-GM Wuling BaoJun YunHai adopts a brand-new design language, featuring a simple yet stylish front end paired with triangular-shaped headlight groups on both sides, giving it a youthful appearance. The main visual difference between the all-electric and plug-in hybrid models lies in the front grille. Since the plug-in hybrid is equipped with an engine, it has a larger horizontal-style grille with a more exaggerated design on both sides of the bumper. In contrast, the all-electric version has a closed grille, giving the front end a more cohesive visual effect.

In terms of dimensions, it measures 4590×1880×1608mm, with a wheelbase of 2750mm, making the side profile look more compact. The BaoJun YunHai comes standard with 18-inch wheels. The rear of the vehicle also boasts a sporty design, with a large amount of blacked-out treatment applied to the rear spoiler, through-type taillights, and rear bumper, creating a strong sense of layering.

The front of the BaoJun YunHai features a closed design with a trapezoidal air intake at the bottom, creating a lower and sleeker visual appearance. As for the headlights, the BaoJun YunHai is equipped with a three-segment split automatic headlight system that supports adaptive headlight steering.

The BaoJun YunHai is equipped with a dual-layer automatic variable frequency air conditioning system, allowing seamless temperature adjustment between 17°C and 33°C. The smart control system dynamically adjusts the air conditioning's airflow and internal/external circulation based on factors such as the interior and exterior temperatures and sunlight, ensuring a consistently comfortable cabin environment.

The interior of the BaoJun YunHai follows a minimalist design style, offering two color options: Dawn White and Nightfall Black. The air vents feature a through-type design, enhancing the layered look of the dashboard. The cabin comes standard with dual 8.8-inch and 15.6-inch screens, and apart from the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel, there are hardly any other physical buttons visible.

The central control screen comes with the familiar Ling OS system, supporting continuous voice recognition, "what you see is what you can say," and voice-activated functions without wake words. There are two phone storage trays in the secondary dashboard area, and the two rear cable holes allow for better cable management. Leather seats and electrically adjustable driver's seats are standard across all models, while the mid-to-high trims offer heated and ventilated front seats. The rear seats can be folded down in a 4:6 split, with a trunk capacity of 469-1452L for the plug-in hybrid version and 567-1570L for the all-electric version. Another highlight is the standard LingMou Intelligent Driving 2.0 Max, co-developed with DJI. Its hardware setup includes a binocular camera, a standard camera, and 12 ultrasonic radars, providing a visual solution. In addition to L2-level driving assistance, it can also handle automatic on/off-ramp navigation, traffic light recognition, memory parking, and autonomous parking.

As for power, the BaoJun YunHai comes in both plug-in hybrid and all-electric versions. The plug-in hybrid version features a 1.5L engine combined with a single electric motor, delivering a maximum engine power of 106 horsepower and peak torque of 130 Nm. The electric motor offers a maximum power of 204 horsepower and peak torque of 310 Nm. The battery pack is a 9.5kWh or 20.5kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a pure electric range of 60 or 140 kilometers under CLTC conditions. The all-electric version is equipped with a front-mounted single motor producing 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of peak torque. It comes with either a 56.7kWh or 69.2kWh battery, offering a CLTC range of 500 and 600 kilometers, respectively. Additionally, all models feature a 3.3KW external power supply function, which expands the possibilities for outdoor use, such as powering lights or low-power appliances during outdoor camping, enabling simple cooking or other activities.
