DongFeng Forthing

The DongFeng Forthing is a recently launched compact SUV built on the EMA-E platform. It is equipped with the Huawei TMS2.0 heat pump management system, which effectively addresses the usage scenarios of electric vehicles in winter, offering a CLTC range of 430km.

The exterior design of the DongFeng Forthing adopts a dynamic and futuristic design language. The front of the vehicle features a mech-inspired split-type headlight design, with integrated daytime running lights that seamlessly blend with the overall design language. The grille has a futuristic appeal, and the through-type taillights follow the current trend in automotive design.

The front headlights of DongFeng Forthing feature a separated design, and the inspiration for the daytime running lights comes from a "light sword." When the daytime running lights on both sides are illuminated, they form the letter "X," and the manufacturer refers to this design as the "X-Separated Light Sword."

In terms of interior design, DongFeng Forthing adopts an embracing style and features a youthful color scheme. The vehicle is equipped with dual 10.25-inch touchscreen displays, incorporating the Tencent HMI2.0 interactive system.

The interior design of the DongFeng Forthing features vibrant color accents, complementing the overall youthful style with a cocooning feel. The central control screen and instrument panel both measure 10.25 inches, providing refined display quality. The UI design of the central control screen is sleek and user-friendly, incorporating the Tencent HMI2.0 interactive system for convenience.

Utilizing the new EMA-E architecture platform, the DongFeng Forthing showcases excellent performance in terms of lightweight construction, modularity, and safety. It is equipped with armor batteries, offering a CLTC range of 430km and a battery capacity of 57.8 kWh for the base model. The long-range model provides a CLTC range of 630km and a battery capacity of 85.9 kWh. The vehicle dimensions are as follows: length 4600mm, width 1860mm, height 1680mm, with a wheelbase of 2715mm.

In terms of power, all models of the DongFeng Forthing utilize the same powertrain configuration, delivering a maximum power of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 340 Nm, placing it at the mainstream level among its class of vehicles. The DongFeng Forthing also performs well in noise control, even at speeds of 100km/h, with minimal wind and tire noise in the cabin.
