2024 BYD Qin L DM-i Sedan

As the latest member of the Qin family, the 2024 BYD Qin L DM-i Sedan features the "New National Tide Dragon Face Aesthetics." The refined front end, combined with a large lower grille, gives the car a more imposing look. The headlights are long and sharp, blending with the upward-turned illuminated "dragon whiskers," adding a spirited appearance. From the side, the waistline runs from the front fender to the rear door, making the body look more elongated. It adopts a fastback design, adding a touch of dynamism while maintaining a steady and grand appearance. Additionally, the new car uses traditional door handle designs.

At the rear, the broad shoulder wrap design not only echoes the front but also enhances the muscular contour of the body. The car features a full-width taillight design inspired by Chinese knots, greatly enhancing its recognizability. Notably, it includes a simplified BYD rear logo that can light up. In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4830/1900/1495mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2790mm, positioning it as a mid-sized car. The rear suspension has been upgraded from the Qin PLUS's torsion beam to an E-type multi-link independent suspension.

The Qin L DM-i features a fastback design, presenting a "wide body, low stance" appearance. Two simple main body lines outline a dragon-like momentum, creating a three-dimensional cutting effect. Paired with 18-inch five-spoke wheels, it exudes a strong sporty atmosphere.

In terms of interior, the Qin L DM-i also adopts a brand-new design style. The overall layout is more minimalist, with more refined materials, blending the elegance of Eastern landscapes with modern technology to create a high-class "landscape painting cabin."

Inside, the Qin L's interior design draws inspiration from Chinese landscape paintings, with an integrated central control panel for a grander appearance. The new car features a large embedded LCD instrument panel paired with a 15.6-inch rotatable central control screen, a new-style three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and wireless phone charging, adding a technological feel to meet current user needs. The new car is equipped with the DiLink intelligent cockpit, including a 15.6-inch adaptive rotating floating pad, in-car ETC, mobile phone NFC car key, full-scenario intelligent voice control, and is 100% compatible with mobile phone ecosystems. All models come standard with in-car ETC and NFC car keys.

In terms of power, a major upgrade for the new car is the adoption of the latest fifth-generation DM technology, BYD's newest hybrid technology. This plug-in hybrid system consists of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor. The engine's maximum power is 74 kW, with a maximum torque of 126 N·m. The new car is equipped with BYD's Blade Battery (lithium iron phosphate). The low-end version has a 10.08 kWh battery, a 120 kW/210 N·m motor, and an 80 km pure electric range under CLTC conditions. The high-end version comes with a 15.874 kWh battery, a motor with a maximum power of 160 kW/260 N·m, and a 120 km pure electric range under CLTC conditions. Thanks to the fifth-generation DM technology platform's engine with a maximum thermal efficiency of 46.06%, the Qin L DM-i has a fuel consumption of only 2.9L/100km under NEDC conditions when the battery is depleted, with a full fuel and electric range of 2100 km.

The 2024 BYD Qin L DM-i Sedan comes standard with the DiPilot intelligent driving assistance system, including functions such as ACC adaptive cruise control, ICC intelligent navigation, LDW lane departure warning, and LDP lane departure prevention. It is complemented by four rear parking sensors and a 3D panoramic transparent image system.
