How to Adjust Car Mirrors

Adjusting the car mirrors is an essential step for safe driving. For the left side mirror, use the horizon as a reference point. Adjust the vertical angle so that the sky and ground each occupy half of the mirror. Then adjust the horizontal angle so that the side of your car takes up about one-quarter of the mirror's view.

The right side mirror adjustment is similar to the left, but the sky should occupy one-quarter of the mirror, and the ground should occupy three-quarters. Lastly, for the central rearview mirror, adjust it to be parallel with the rear windshield, maintaining a 1:1 ratio of sky to ground. This allows you to see both inside the car and behind it effectively.

Remember to adjust the mirrors based on your seating position, not by leaning towards the mirrors, to ensure driving safety. Correctly adjusting the mirrors is crucial not only for your personal safety but also for the safety of other road users, making it an important aspect of driving safety.
