2022 Saic Roewe RX5 MAX SUV

The 2022 Saic Roewe RX5 MAX SUV features a dynamic design language as the basis for its new styling. The grille with its "Ronglin" texture is larger, and the front headlights adopt the popular split design. The upper through-type daytime running light strip integrates with a silver trim engraved with the "ROEWE" logo, creating a strong overall sense.

Although the overall silhouette hasn't changed, the details have seen significant modifications. Firstly, the new car's exterior mirrors feature a low-drag design, and the door handles have been replaced with hidden designs, enhancing the sense of technology. The rear of the new car also has substantial changes, with modifications to the roof spoiler and rear bumper shapes giving the rear a more three-dimensional and sporty visual effect.

The Saic Roewe RX5 MAX features a new front design inspired by a starry dragon scale pattern, with a large, vertically integrated grille. This is complemented by a hot-stamped texture design and carbon fiber-style trim, along with striking Energy Cube LED headlights, creating a visually dynamic and powerful aesthetic.

The Saic Roewe RX5 MAX features an integrated dashboard design, equipped for the first time with dual 12.3-inch large screens. It eliminates traditional physical buttons, pairing with a newly designed steering wheel and a "Mountain and River" patterned electronic gear lever, creating a smart and sophisticated technological aesthetic in the interior.

The Saic Roewe RX5 MAX's dashboard adopts a new dual-screen design, with a horizontal central control screen replacing the previous 14.3-inch vertical screen, marking a notable stylistic shift. The steering wheel has also been redesigned, featuring a three-spoke style with more robust shapes, and multimedia controls have been updated to a game controller-like joystick operation. The dual screens are crafted using an integrated hot-bending process, with both screens measuring 12.3 inches, providing a better enveloping feel for the driver. The intelligent system continues to be Roewe's signature Zebra VENUS system, offering comprehensive connected ecosystem coverage and impressive intelligent performance.

The Saic Roewe RX5 MAX comes standard with leather seats across the range. All but the base model feature electrically adjustable front seats with a heating function, and the rear seats across all models can adjust the backrest angle. Interior space has always been a strong suit of the Roewe RX5 MAX, and based on previous space experiences, a 170cm tall occupant can enjoy ample headroom in both the front and rear seats of the new RX5 MAX, with decent legroom performance in the rear.

In terms of power, the Saic Roewe RX5 MAX offers two powertrain options. One is a 1.5T engine with a maximum output of 181 horsepower, an 8-horsepower increase over the previous model, and a maximum torque of 285 Nm, a 10 Nm improvement. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The other option is a 2.0T engine with a maximum output of 231 horsepower and a maximum torque of 370 Nm, consistent with the previous model. However, the transmission has been upgraded from a 6-speed dual-clutch to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The chassis continues to feature a combination of front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension across the range.
