The first model from YangWang, BYD's high-end brand, the YangWang U8, recently revealed its range of body colors. The YangWang U8 offers consumers a choice of seven different body colors: Dragon Stone Green (Glossy), Dragon Stone Green (Matte), Sandstone Green (Glossy), Sandstone Green (Matte), Moonlight Silver, Fluorite White, and Obsidian Black.
In terms of exterior design, the YangWang U8 adopts a distinctive "Time-Space Portal" design language, seamlessly integrating a futuristic and technological aesthetic into the overall vehicle design. The vehicle features hidden door handles, an external spare tire, wheel arches, and aerodynamic design elements. Additionally, it is equipped with 20-inch wheels. The polygonal wheel arches incorporate hardware such as laser radar, cameras, and side marker lights, combining both functionality and stylish design. The roof of the vehicle also houses a laser radar system, enabling advanced level autonomous driving technology.
The dimensions of the YangWang U8 are better represented as length, width, and height, which are approximately 5319mm, 2050mm, and 1930mm respectively. It has a wheelbase of 3050mm. Internally, the YangWang U8 will feature a three-row seating configuration. With these dimensions, the YangWang U8 meets the criteria for a large SUV and stands out in terms of its wheelbase compared to other vehicles in its class.
Regarding power, thanks to the "Yi Si Fang" technology's four-motor independent drive, each motor in the YangWang U8 can deliver a maximum power output ranging from 200kW to 240kW, with a peak torque of 320Nm to 420Nm. This enables the YangWang U8 to achieve impressive acceleration, with 0-100km/h times in around 3 seconds. Additionally, the vehicle will come equipped with the "Yi Si Fang" blade battery. With independently controllable wheels, the YangWang U8 can operate in various driving modes, including ice and snow circular mode, desert climbing mode, continued driving with a flat tire (at speeds of up to 120km/h), turning on the spot, and floating mode.
