On June 16, Xiaomi's Founder, Chairman, and CEO Lei Jun announced that the highly anticipated Xiaomi YU7 will officially launch at the end of June. The launch event will also feature several other major product unveilings, including the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, the company's second tablet powered by the new Xuanjie O1 chip.

Previously, on May 22, Xiaomi Auto revealed its first-ever SUV-the Xiaomi YU7 (Chinese name "御7"), positioned as a luxury high-performance SUV. The new vehicle has been comprehensively upgraded in terms of design, intelligent technology, range, and safety, aiming to offer an exceptional product experience for modern professionals. At the time, Xiaomi Auto confirmed that the YU7 would officially go on sale in July 2024.

Design
The YU7 carries forward the design language of the Xiaomi SU7, while being fully optimized for the SUV form factor. The car measures 4999mm x 1996mm x 1600mm, with a wheelbase of 3000mm. It features a 3:1 wheelbase-to-track ratio, 2.1:1 wheel height ratio, and a 1.25:1 width-to-height ratio, creating a sleek, sporty, low-profile stance.
At the rear, the YU7 continues the SU7's iconic styling with features like a dynamic ducktail spoiler and the highly recognizable Halo Taillight. A lidar sensor is also mounted on the roof for enhanced autonomous driving capabilities.

Interior
The interior of the YU7 is built around a "dual-zone luxury wraparound cockpit" concept. It debuts the Xiaomi Horizon Display, a panoramic setup consisting of three Mini LED screens, delivering a 1.1-meter-wide projection area that allows flexible display of five types of information cards. The rear row includes a removable control screen, enhancing passenger interactivity.

Powertrain
The entire YU7 lineup is based on an 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, and will be available in Standard, Pro, and Max configurations.
The Standard version features a 96.3kWh battery and offers a CLTC range of 835 km.
The Pro and Max dual-motor AWD variants offer 760 km and 770 km of range respectively, with 620 km of charge added in just 15 minutes.

Performance
The dual-motor AWD models deliver up to 690 PS (horsepower), accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds, and reach a top speed of 253 km/h. Braking performance is also impressive, with a 100-0 km/h stopping distance of just 33.9 meters.
Xiaomi YU7 is set to become a competitive new force in the luxury electric SUV market when it officially hits the road this summer.
