The Wuling Zhi Guang EV will officially begin pre-sales on January 17. The new vehicle adopts the design language of "K-Car" models, breaking away from the traditional microvan image, offering a dynamic and fashionable look while maintaining practicality. The official statement reveals that the Wuling Zhi Guang EV will be equipped with a rear-mounted single motor and will support a power-out function.
In terms of appearance, the "boxy" design is simple and cute. Although it is still positioned as a microvan, the overall design is much more stylish. Both sides are equipped with sliding doors, with an opening width of 595mm, making it very convenient for transporting goods. In terms of dimensions, the new car measures 3685mm in length, 1530mm in width, and 1765mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2600mm.
The rear design is quite neat, with a large tailgate that opens wide and at a low height, making it easy to load and unload bulky items. The official statement indicates that both the front passenger seat and the rear seats can be folded flat, and the trunk offers 527L of space in regular configuration, which can be expanded to a maximum of 1117L.
The interior design is simple and tidy, featuring a two-spoke steering wheel and a digital instrument panel, focusing on a minimalist and practical overall style. Although the materials are somewhat basic, with large areas of plastic that don't offer premium feel, the build quality is decent, and it doesn't come across as overly cheap.
For power, the new car will feature a rear-mounted single motor with a total power output of 30kW, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery. The official statement mentions that the slow charging port located at the front of the vehicle supports 220V AC for external power supply, with a power output of up to 3.3kW. Additionally, both the front row and the trunk are equipped with 12V DC power outlets, with a maximum discharge power of 120W.
