The new BMW iX has been officially unveiled. As a mid-cycle refresh, the updated model features enhancements in design and performance and will be available in three variants: iX xDrive45, iX xDrive60, and iX M70 xDrive. The new model offers a maximum WLTP range of 701km and is expected to launch globally this spring. Production will continue at BMW's Dingolfing plant in Germany, with key markets including the U.S., the U.K., and Germany.

Exterior Design
The new iX adopts a cleaner, more modern design language. The most noticeable changes include new headlights and a ring-shaped illuminated kidney grille. These two elements form a cohesive visual unit, with diagonal patterns inside the adaptive LED headlights echoing the grille's texture, creating a sleek and refined front-end appearance. Notably, the M Sport Package is now available for the first time on the iX (previously, the model was only offered in Serie Standard and Sport trims).

BMW introduces seven new exterior colors, including:
Marina Bay Blue
Dune Grey
Carbon Black
Tanzanite Blue
Space Silver
Matte Dark Grey (customized option)
Matte Pure Grey (customized option)

The newly available M Sport Package (along with the M Performance Package for the iX M70 xDrive) brings a more aggressive and dynamic design, featuring a split lower air intake reminiscent of the new M5, a dedicated rear diffuser, and blacked-out accents-key distinguishing features of the M Sport trim. The iX M70 xDrive further stands out with horizontal grille slats, an M badge on the grille, three-stripe M seats, and M-branded seat belts.

Additionally, the new iX will offer 23-inch alloy wheels with aerodynamic inserts to reduce drag.
Dimensions:
Length: 4965mm
Width: 1970mm
Height: 1695mm

Interior Upgrades

The interior remains largely unchanged, retaining the minimalist cabin design and floating curved display, which runs BMW's latest Operating System 8.5. However, different exterior packages now influence the seat and steering wheel design. Notably, with the introduction of the M Sport Package, the iX now features a round steering wheel for the first time.

Powertrain & Performance
All three variants utilize BMW's fifth-generation eDrive electric drivetrain, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup:
BMW iX xDrive45
Power: 300 kW (408 hp)
Torque: 700 Nm
WLTP Range: 490-602 km
BMW iX xDrive60
Power: 400 kW (540 hp)

BMW iX M70 xDrive (M Performance Model)
