Tesla To Recall Approximately 2.2 Million Vehicles in The United States

Recently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) in the United States discovered a safety issue during routine inspections of Tesla vehicles: the font size of warning lights on the vehicle's display screen is too small, potentially making it difficult to recognize critical safety information on the dashboard, thus increasing the risk of accidents. As a result, Tesla needs to recall approximately 2 million electric vehicles in the US market for an upgrade and repair.

The Tesla models included in this recall are the recently delivered Cybertruck pickup, 2024 and earlier models of the Model X and Model Y, as well as 2023 and earlier models of the Model S and Model 3. Although Tesla emphasizes that this issue has not caused any accidents or personal injuries so far, Tesla will still address this problem through OTA updates, eliminating the need for owners to bring their vehicles to service centers.

However, Musk couldn't resist venting on the X social platform, expressing that the upgrade and repair in this situation no longer require customers to take their vehicles to dealerships, yet using the term "recall" by regulatory agencies seems outdated.
