Changan Automobile recently officially released the brand's retail sales data for January 2024: Changan Automobile's retail sales reached 323,182 units, a year-on-year increase of 90.2%; wholesale sales reached 280,367 units, a year-on-year increase of 63.2%; and the retail sales of Changan-branded Chinese passenger cars reached 232,545 units, a year-on-year increase of 97.8%.
Changan Automobile's independent brand new energy retail sales in January 2024 reached 62,387 units, a staggering increase of 208.6%, setting a new record for brand deliveries.
On November 25th last year, Changan Automobile and Huawei signed a "Memorandum of Investment Cooperation" in Shenzhen. After negotiations, Huawei plans to establish a new company focusing on the research and development, production, sales, and services of intelligent driving systems and incremental components for intelligent connected vehicles. According to the memorandum, Huawei plans to integrate the core technology and resources of its intelligent vehicle solution business into the new company, and Changan Automobile and related parties intend to invest in the company and jointly support its future development. The cooperation between Changan Automobile and Huawei will empower the continuous innovation and development of its new energy brand products in the field of intelligence.
On November 8th last year, Changan Automobile's manufacturing base in Rayong, Thailand officially commenced operations. This base is Changan Automobile's first overseas production base, marking a new stage in Changan Automobile's global layout. On January 10th this year, Changan Automobile held the first batch delivery ceremony for Deep Blue DEEPAL L07 and S07 owners in Bangkok, Thailand, officially launching comprehensive deliveries in the Thai market.
