Tesla's 5 millionth vehicle globally has officially rolled off the production line at the Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory, with the car being a Model 3 Refresh in pearl white.
Just recently, on September 6th, the 2 millionth China-made Tesla car rolled off the production line at the Shanghai Gigafactory. Tesla stated that it takes less than 40 seconds for the Shanghai Gigafactory to produce a complete vehicle. As a vehicle completes its assembly and drives off the line, two honks signify the completion.

Data reveals that Tesla's wholesale sales in China reached 464,000 units in the first half of this year. This means that of the 889,000 electric vehicles delivered globally by Tesla in the first half of the year, over 50% were produced at the Shanghai Gigafactory.
As Elon Musk has mentioned, "It's hard to outpace the Shanghai Gigafactory." Achieving unparalleled efficiency, the Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory not only spearheads the accelerated development of electric vehicle manufacturing technology but also directly drives the upgrade and innovation of the entire automotive industry chain in Shanghai and its surrounding areas.
