According to media reports, Tesla sold a total of 127,541 vehicles in the North American market from January to April 2023, surpassing models such as Camry, CR-V, and Corolla, making it the second best-selling model. The first best-selling model is the Ford F-150, which sold nearly 240,000 units during the same period.

It is worth mentioning that a total of nearly 5 million new vehicles were sold in the North American market from January to April, with pure electric vehicles accounting for 348,285 units, only 7% of the market. Among these nearly 350,000 electric vehicles, Tesla brand accounted for 211,842 units, representing over 60.8% of the market share. Following Tesla, Chevrolet (24,689 units, 7.1% market share) and Ford (17,167 units, 4.9% market share) ranked second and third, respectively.

Among Tesla's 211,842 units, Model Y sold 127,541 units, Model 3 sold 72,259 units, Model X sold 8,216 units, and Model S sold 3,826 units. The media suggests that the surge in Model Y sales is related to its recent price reductions. When Model Y was initially launched, it had a price of $67,440 in the North American market, but now it is available for as low as $49,380, significantly increasing its appeal to consumers.
