Tesla's Cybertruck is facing its sixth recall since its launch a year ago. This recall affects 2,431 vehicles, including certain 2024 model Cybertrucks produced between November 6, 2023, and July 30, 2024. According to a report from Tesla, these trucks currently or previously had faulty drive inverters installed.

"If the inverter stops generating torque, the driver will be unable to apply torque to the vehicle using the accelerator pedal, resulting in a loss of propulsion, which may increase the risk of a crash," Tesla stated in the report.
In October of this year, Tesla recalled 27,185 Cybertrucks due to delayed rearview camera imaging, which could impact driver visibility. Unlike recalls that require over-the-air updates, Tesla will need to physically replace the recalled drive inverters, which the automaker has stated will be replaced free of charge.
Other Cybertruck recalls this year have included one in April for unstable accelerator pedals and one in June to fix loose trim pieces and faulty windshield wipers.
