Stellantis Group Restructures Its Executive Team in China

Stellantis Group has recently made a strategic adjustment to its management team in China. Mr. Xin Tianshu has been officially appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis China and the leader of the "Stellantis-Leapmotor Strategic Alliance." Meanwhile, he will continue to steer the course of the "Leapmotor International" joint venture as its Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, Mr. Grégoire Olivier has been entrusted with a new mission by Stellantis Group, taking on the role of chief strategist and senior advisor for the company's China market strategy. Both Mr. Xin and Mr. Olivier will jointly report to Mr. Maxime Picat, Stellantis Group's Executive Vice President and a core member of the group's interim executive committee. This personnel restructuring officially commenced on February 26, 2025.

Mr. Xin Tianshu is a seasoned leader in corporate management with over 30 years of extensive hands-on experience in operations management, strategic planning, business expansion, mergers and acquisitions, sales, and marketing across multiple industries.

Since November 2023, Mr. Xin has been serving as the CEO of the Leapmotor International joint venture, leading its preparation and establishment. After months of meticulous planning, Leapmotor International was officially launched in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in May 2024. This joint venture, co-founded by Stellantis Group and Leapmotor, is structured with a 51%-49% shareholding ratio, with Stellantis Group taking the lead. The company's ambitious goal is to leverage Stellantis Group's global resources to expand Leapmotor's electric vehicle (EV) brand into international markets, opening a new chapter for the brand.

Before joining Leapmotor International, Mr. Xin made a significant impact in Stellantis China, where he was a member of the executive committee responsible for corporate planning, business expansion, project and product planning, joint ventures and partnerships, as well as public affairs. Prior to the formation of Stellantis Group in January 2021, he also held key positions at PSA Group (Peugeot Citroën) in China, overseeing strategy, partnerships, and public affairs. In addition, his career has seen him take on pivotal roles at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Visteon, and IHS, focusing on strategic planning, marketing, and business operations.

Mr. Xin has also achieved remarkable academic success. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Wuhan University of Technology and later pursued an MBA at Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom. Additionally, he completed executive management programs at the Kenan-Flagler Business School of the University of North Carolina in the United States, as well as advanced executive programs at London Business School and INSEAD in France, further enriching his professional expertise and global perspective.
