At the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the MINI brand showcased several models, including the official debut and pricing announcement of the all-new MINI COOPER Cabrio, starting at ¥309,800. The convertible made its first public appearance at the event.

The MINI COOPER Cabrio maintains the iconic design language of the MINI COOPER, with a soft-top roof that offers two opening modes. At speeds below 30 km/h, the roof can fully open in 18 seconds and close in 15 seconds. In addition to full retraction, the soft top can also be partially opened like a sunroof at any speed, allowing for a 40cm opening.

In terms of performance, the new MINI COOPER Cabrio is powered by an engine that delivers a maximum output of 150 kW (204 hp) and peak torque of 300 Nm, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds.

The vehicle is equipped with the 9th-generation lateral dynamics management system, along with a newly integrated Dynamic Stability Control system (DSCi) and the ARB traction control system. For intelligent driving, the Cabrio offers a range of driver assistance features including blind spot warning, 3D visual navigation, and 50-meter auto-reverse parking assist.
