Smart has released its September delivery figures—2,621 units. Smart stated that since the commencement of deliveries on September 23rd of last year, they have delivered a cumulative total of 42,866 new vehicles domestically. At the same time, smart is accelerating its expansion southward and westward and achieved several significant overseas expansion initiatives in September.
Smart has officially signed a general distributor agreement with the Colmobil Group to jointly explore the Israeli market. The Sprite #1 is set to launch in Israel in the fourth quarter of this year, while Sprite #3 will make its debut there in 2024.
In addition, the Smart Sprite #1 is about to enter the Nepalese market. Meanwhile, smart is elevating its strategic position in the Southeast Asian market and is deepening its collaboration with Proton Cars in terms of "localized R&D". The first batch of right-hand drive versions of Smart Sprite #1 for Malaysia has already started pre-sales locally.
Smart also mentioned that the Smart Pilot Assist 2.0, built on Mobileye SuperVision? technology, will be launched in the fourth quarter. This version includes the NSP Intelligent Navigation Assistance function, which can progressively achieve point-to-point automatic navigation on highways and main city roads and supports OTA remote iterative upgrades. A special edition model equipped with the NSP Intelligent Navigation Assistance function will be launched on October 21st at the Smart Times Global Fan Carnival China Station.
By 2025, smart will introduce the Smart Pilot Assist 3.0 intelligent driving assistance system. This system will adopt NVIDIA DRIVE Orin as the centralized computing platform for the latest models and will be equipped with lidar for the first time in the new cars."
