Recently, FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the "Regulations on the Administration of Defective Automobile Product Recalls" and its Implementation Measures. Recall Details:

1:Imported Models:
Audi A7, A8L, Q7, Q8, RS6, RS7, RSQ8, S6, S7, S8, and A6 Allroad vehicles produced between January 2, 2018, and January 23, 2023. A total of 113,749 units.

2:Domestic Models:
Audi A6L vehicles produced between November 1, 2018, and February 16, 2023. A total of 23,011 units.

Reason for Recall:
In the affected vehicles, due to manufacturing issues, the internal electronic components of the 48V belt-driven starter generator's inverter may have poor connections with the printed circuit board after prolonged use. This could cause the 48V starter generator to stop supplying power. In extreme cases, this may lead to battery depletion, loss of power, and potential safety risks.

Resolution:
This recall is being conducted as part of a defect investigation initiated by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Under the recall, FAW-Volkswagen will authorize Audi dealers to inspect the software version of the starter generator in the affected vehicles. For vehicles equipped with pre-optimized generators, replacements will be provided free of charge to eliminate safety hazards. Vehicles that have already had optimized starter generators installed will not require further replacement.
