Recently, we learned from the media that Stellantis Group has announced a recall of its Jeep Grand Cherokee and RAM ProMaster models, totaling over 350,000 vehicles. This includes 338,238 Jeep Grand Cherokees produced between 2021 and 2023, 9,433 Jeep Grand Cherokees produced between 2023 and 2024, and 27,744 RAM ProMaster models produced between 2022 and 2023.

The recall for Jeep Grand Cherokees produced between 2021 and 2023 is due to a risk of steering mechanism fracture, which could result in wheel detachment and noise during driving. Jeep stated that the affected components may have been damaged during the manufacturing process, and it is estimated that approximately 1% of vehicles may experience the aforementioned issues. Jeep will replace the at-risk steering mechanism components free of charge through vehicle recalls.

The recall for Jeep Grand Cherokees produced in 2023 and 2024 is due to a problem with the vehicle's high beam controller. If the light switch is set to "Auto," the vehicle may fail to activate the high beams. Jeep will recall the affected vehicles and address this issue by updating the software.
The recall for RAM ProMaster models produced between 2022 and 2023 is due to a potential malfunction of the seat belt switch sensor, which may indicate that the seat belt is not fastened even when the driver is belted. North American vehicle owners can check if their vehicles are affected by visiting www.nhtsa.gov/recalls and entering their vehicle identification number, or by contacting their local dealerships for further information.
