Elon Musk, 52, mentioned on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) that he will undergo a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan for his neck and upper back on August 7th, local time, and might need to undergo surgery.
The world's richest man stated that he would determine later this week if he needs the operation, ahead of his "cage fight" with Meta co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. Musk had previously indicated that he "might need a surgery to reinforce the titanium plate that binds my C5/C6 vertebrae together."

As the CEO of both Tesla and SpaceX, as well as the owner of a high-profile social media platform, Musk's health has garnered significant attention globally. The renowned workaholic mentioned having "severe back pain" after a bout with a sumo wrestler.
Musk, known for stirring up buzz online, has been promoting his yet-to-happen duel with Zuckerberg for weeks. The rivalry between the two CEOs intensified after Meta launched Threads, a social platform directly competing with Musk's X.
On August 6th, Zuckerberg posted on Threads proposing the match to be held on August 26th and mentioned he's still awaiting Musk's confirmation. He said, "I'm ready today. However, this match might not necessarily take place on August 26th."
