Mercedes-Maybach announced a partnership with Space Perspective, the world's first and currently the only carbon-neutral space travel company. Mercedes-Maybach will offer its all-electric models as exclusive courtesy vehicles, providing transportation for space explorers and tourists to and from Space Perspective's various facilities, participating in local activities, as well as offering shuttle services to the Florida Space Coast launch site.
Reportedly, Space Perspective plans to use its innovative Spaceship Neptune. The sealed cabin of this spacecraft is gently and safely propelled to altitudes of 100,000 feet (over 30,000 meters) by a massive high-altitude balloon. While achieving carbon-neutral space travel, it provides passengers with a travel experience as comfortable as being on Earth. The space capsule supports interior customization and can accommodate 8 passengers and 1 pilot, offering a world-class travel experience, including meals and cocktails.
