Lotus EMEYA Launch

Following the ELETRE, Lotus has officially unveiled another all-electric product, the Lotus EMEYA, positioned as a Hyper GT electric supercar. Its competitors include models such as the Panamera and the Audi RS e-tron GT. The new vehicle will be co-produced with the ELETRE at the Lotus Wuhan factory and is scheduled to launch in 2024, with prices starting above one million.

In terms of appearance, the Lotus EMEYA continues to adhere to the family design philosophy. The front features dual L-shaped segmented light units on both sides, with the upper LED daytime running lights combined with the lower high and low beam lights, presenting a sharp overall look. The car's front bumper center still comes equipped with a hexagonal active aerodynamic device, a feature continued from the ELETRE. Additionally, it has an active air dam at the lower bumper to further enhance aerodynamics.

On the side, the vehicle adopts a fastback coupe-like body structure, with elongated body lines exuding elegance. The car's front and rear fenders are notably broad, complemented by large wheels with dense spokes and multi-piston brake calipers, emanating a strong sporty aura. At the rear, the production model will feature through-type taillights which, when illuminated, offer distinct recognizability. Moreover, the new car's rear bumper design is more aggressive, equipped with an active rear spoiler and diffuser. The rear spoiler, with a width of 296mm, can generate a downforce of 215 kilograms when raised.

For the interior, the vehicle continues its sustainable theme, incorporating yarn extracted from clothing cotton. This material is not only eco-friendly but also lighter. The car also features metallic finishes using PVD coating. The five digital instrument clusters, paired with two streaming rear-view mirrors, showcase exceptional technological prowess. The fish-shaped LCD instrument, combined with a 55-inch AR-HUD heads-up display, provides the driver with extensive information. The vehicle also features a KEF 3D sound system, with interior seating options of either four or five seats available for consumers to choose from.

In terms of power, the Lotus EMEYA is equipped with twin motors, delivering a maximum power of 905 horsepower and a peak torque of 985 Newton-meters. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds, with a top speed of 256 km/h. As for range, it comes with a battery pack capacity of 102 kWh and, coupled with a two-speed gearbox, it can achieve a CLTC range of up to 600 km. Additionally, the vehicle is fitted with an air suspension system. Regarding charging, it still supports 800V fast charging. Using a 350kW fast charger, it can add 180km of range in 5 minutes under the CLTC conditions and can charge from 10% to 80% within 15 minutes.
