According to the news from "CATL - Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited" on January 7th, on January 6th, JAC GROUP and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian. Xiang Xingchu, Party Secretary, Chairman, and General Manager of the JAC GROUP Holding Company, and Zeng Yuqun, Chairman and General Manager of CATL, along with other relevant leaders attended the signing ceremony. Li Ming, General Manager of JAC GROUP Stock Company, and Han Wei, Co-President of CATL's Marketing System, represented their respective sides in the signing.
According to the agreement, the two parties will actively collaborate in various areas such as power battery supply, introduction of swapping technology, joint development and application of new technologies and products, domestic and international market expansion, and carbon reduction along the industrial chain. They will jointly formulate action plans and build a strategic alliance.
In the field of power batteries, CATL will provide JAC GROUP with new power battery products, new technologies, and comprehensive production and sales collaborative services. Additionally, they will leverage highly integrated technologies that combine vehicle platforms and batteries to jointly create competitive new energy vehicle models.
In terms of technical cooperation, the two parties will establish a joint research and development team to collaboratively develop and apply new technologies and products. They will work together to promote the adoption of CIIC skateboard chassis technology, identify suitable vehicle models for CIIC skateboard chassis, and develop cooperation plans and development schedules as needed.
Furthermore, both parties will establish in-depth cooperation in brand promotion, product marketing, quality cultivation, customer service, and talent development. They aim to collectively create higher quality and more competitively priced products, driving both businesses towards significant development.
