On May 6, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. announced today that Mr. Ai Xiaoming has been appointed President of Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd., reporting to the Board of Directors of Changan Ford. Mr. He Xiaoqing, the current President of Changan Ford, will officially retire on June 1, 2024, and until then, he will assist in the smooth transition with Ai Xiaoming as a senior advisor.
Ai Xiaoming has more than 20 years of experience in China's manufacturing and consumer electronics industries, especially in the past 10 years, where he has held senior executive positions in the China operations of several Fortune 500 companies. His extensive experience and expertise in general management and operational transformation will help him lead the Changan Ford team to strengthen its cooperative relationship with partners, continuously improve product quality and capacity utilization, and accelerate Changan Ford's transformation to electrification and intelligence."
Prior to joining Ford China, Mr. Ai held a number of senior management positions including Senior Director of Ammann Corporate Consultants (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., CEO of GiantKONE Elevator, and President and CEO of Whirlpool China.
During his tenure as President of Changan Ford, He Xiaoqing made outstanding contributions to the business transformation and development of the joint venture, the improvement of operating performance, and the improvement of organizational and operational efficiency, especially in leading Changan Ford from loss to profitability for three consecutive years.
