According to media reports, Ford Motor Company has appointed its next global design chief, naming senior in-house designer Todd Willing as the successor to Anthony Lo, who recently departed from the position.
Willing joined Ford in 2003 and most recently served as the global design chief for Ford's electric vehicle division, Model e. He was the lead exterior designer for the 2017 GT supercar and contributed to the development of several global Ford models, including the 2007 Mondeo, 2009 Fiesta, and 2010 Focus.

In an emailed statement, a Ford spokesperson said, "Willing is a leader who understands Ford's unique history, recognizes the power of transformation, and can guide the team to create entirely new, distinctly Ford vehicles."
Willing's appointment as Ford's global design chief took effect on August 27. Ford stated that he will lead the design of global models for both the Ford and Lincoln brands.
Ford noted that Willing has held positions in Japan, Germany, the UK, and the US. He also led Ford's Asia-Pacific Design Studio in Melbourne, Australia. Additionally, he served as the global design director for Ford trucks and SUVs, overseeing the design teams responsible for the F-150, Super Duty, Ranger, Bronco, Maverick, Explorer, and Expedition. Willing holds a bachelor's degree in industrial design from Monash University in Australia.
