On November 24th, Changan Automobile, in collaboration with CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited) and Deep Blue New Energy, jointly established Times Changan Power Battery Co., Ltd. The company officially marked the production rollout of its first 87Ah standard battery cell.
The inaugural standard battery cell incorporates advanced technologies such as "fast ion ring graphite" and "ultra-high conductivity electrolyte." With over 6,800 embedded quality control points throughout its lifecycle and traceability of more than 10,000 data items, the cell ensures reliability at the level of DPPB (one in a billion defects). Additionally, it integrates 4C fast charging, allowing a rapid charge from 20% to 80% in just 10 minutes.
The automation rate at the Times Changan factory exceeds 95%, achieving a one-cell output per second from raw material input to final product. Seven major measures, including "directed exhaust, continuous monitoring, overpressure sealing, insulation separation, aerospace insulation, alcohol cooling, and transient pressure relief," have been implemented to ensure high quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the production process.
