BYD is set to introduce five electric vehicles in the French market. Currently, BYD has partnered with four major dealer networks for sales, and this is just the beginning.

BYD will deliver the first batch of cars to French dealers this month, with sales expected to commence shortly thereafter. BYD aims to establish 15 to 20 sales points with its partners in France by the end of this year, with the ultimate goal of setting up 100 sales outlets in the country.

The French dealer groups collaborating with BYD include BYmyCAR, Kroely, and Bodemer. Among them, BYmyCAR already operates two car dealerships in Paris. Kroely plans to open branches in Strasbourg, Metz, Nancy, and Mulhouse in the third quarter of 2023, while Bodemer will open a branch in Rennes.

BYD is about to launch three electric cars in France: Atto 3, Han, and Tang, all of which have already been released in other European markets. In addition, the Dolphin series will be available from July, and the Seal series will be available after the summer.
There have been previous reports that BYD is considering building a factory in Europe, with France being one of the potential locations. Currently, BYD sells cars in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Spain, and Portugal. BYD has stated that Atto 3, Han, and Tang will also be launched in Italy and Hungary, with plans to expand to "more European countries" by 2024.
