On October 14, it was announced that BYD, in partnership with distributor CFAO, has launched its first new energy vehicle in Madagascar's capital, Antananarivo. The vehicle is the all-electric model Yuan PLUS (known internationally as BYD ATTO 3), marking a significant step in BYD's further expansion into the African market.

The BYD ATTO 3 is the first A-class SUV equipped with BYD's e-Platform 3.0. It features the Dragon Face 3.0 family design language, boasts a 2720mm wheelbase, and comes standard with the Blade Battery.
According to BYD, the company's new energy passenger vehicles are now available in 12 countries and regions across Africa. Looking ahead, BYD plans to deepen its presence in the African market, working with partners to offer consumers a more diverse range of new energy transportation options.
Since BYD officially announced its "Passenger Car Globalization" strategy in May 2021, the company has made substantial progress, establishing a strategic presence across six continents. In September alone, BYD launched new vehicles in Zambia, Panama, Costa Rica, and Ecuador, and opened flagship stores and dealerships in Dubai and Suriname.
Additionally, BYD is working to penetrate the Japanese market by launching electric vehicle charging stations. By the end of 2025, BYD aims to establish 100 stores in Japan, each equipped with a fast-charging station.
According to BYD's official data, a total of 33,012 new energy passenger vehicles were sold overseas in September, with 30,512 units exported.
